Jon Gosselin<\/strong><\/a> says his son Collin Gosselin<\/strong><\/a> is focused on \u201cmoving forward\u201d following the 20-year-old\u2019s bombshell claims about mom Kate Gosselin<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe\u2019s doing really well,\u201d Jon, 47, told TMZ<\/a> on Wednesday, September 25. The former reality star said that Collin has since made the decision to attend<\/a> Penn State University, where he\u2019s currently a freshman. \u201cThat was like closure for him, I believe.\u201d<\/p>\n

Jon also predicted that there won\u2019t be a conversation between Collin and Kate regarding the accusations.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere\u2019s so much animosity,\u201d Jon explained.<\/p>\n

Collin spoke with The U.S. Sun<\/em> earlier this month and alleged that Kate, 49, was \u201cphysically aggressive\u201d<\/a> and \u201cverbally\u201d abused him as a child.<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tKate Gosselin and her son Collin have been through their fair share of ups and downs over the years. The Kate Plus Date star welcomed Collin and his sextuplet siblings \u2014 Alexis, Hannah, Aaden, Leah and Joel\u00a0\u2014 in 2004 with her now-ex-husband, Jon Gosselin. The little ones joined twins Madelyn and Cara, who arrived four [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cMy mother had a room built in our unfinished section of the storage basement. She had a room put up with cameras in it, a tiny window in the corner and it was bolt-locked from the outside,\u201d Collin claimed. \u201cIt was like a containment room, literally, and it had a mattress on the floor and that\u2019s how I lived.\u201d<\/p>\n

Collin further alleged that Kate \u201czip-tied my hands<\/a> and feet together and bolt locked the door.\u201d When leaving him in the isolation room, he claimed that she \u201cturned the lights off and had cameras there just watching me.\u201d<\/p>\n

Overall, he referred to his childhood as \u201crough,\u201d claiming that he \u201cwas 100 percent treated differently\u201d than his siblings. (Us Weekly<\/em> reached out for comment at the time.)<\/p>\n

Jon and Kate rose to fame on the reality show Jon & Kate Plus 8<\/em><\/a>, which aired from 2007 to 2017. The former couple, who divorced in 2009, share 23-year-old twins Mady and Cara, along with 20-year-old sextuplets Collin, Hannah, Leah, Joel, Alexis and Aaden.<\/p>\n

\u201cI definitely went through it a lot as a kid from my mother\u2019s end. So, it was tough,\u201d Collin further alleged. \u201cI just remember being isolated from my siblings and constantly taking the fall for her emotions or the tough things going on in her life.\u201d<\/p>\n

Collin claimed that the \u201ccontainment\u201d in the basement started when he was 8 or 9 years old. He was there \u201cmost of the day\u201d and didn\u2019t go to school.<\/p>\n

Kate has not publicly addressed the claims, but her lawyer, Richard Puleo<\/strong>, told The U.S. Sun<\/em> in a statement that he didn\u2019t think Kate would ever \u201cintentionally harm\u201d Collin.<\/p>\n

\u201cShe did what she did to protect herself and her family,\u201d the attorney added, alleging that Collin showcased \u201ctroubled behavior\u201d as a child.<\/p>\n
