<\/p>\n Elton John<\/strong><\/a> used his old kneecap as an accessory after recently discussing his health woes.<\/p>\n The musician, 77, turned heads with his necklace \u2014 which featured part of his own knee \u2014 while attending the premiere of his new biopic, Never Too Late<\/em>, at the BFI London Film Festival on Thursday, October 10. John, who had both of his knees replaced in the past, was joined by husband David Furnish<\/strong><\/a> at the event.<\/p>\n Furnish, 61, directed the project about John, with whom he shares sons Zachary, 13, and Elijah, 11.<\/p>\n \u201cThere are moments making the film where it started to get too much for me. I started to be carrying a lot of anxiety and a lot of emotion,\u201d Furnish told Hello!<\/em><\/a> on Thursday at the premiere. \u201cIt\u2019s a responsibility \u2014 but for me \u2014 it\u2019s also a joy because I know a side of Elton that the rest of the world doesn\u2019t know. And it was really important to us that we captured his authentic voice and his heart really, really, honestly, and I feel we\u2019ve done that.\u201d<\/p>\n Furnish went on to reflect on his husband\u2019s health, adding, \u201cElton talks quite openly about his mortality. That\u2019s not an easy thing to hear. And you\u2019re really taking his vulnerability and you\u2019re putting it up on the screen for people to see.\u201d<\/p>\n While attending the New York Film Festival premiere of the documentary earlier this month, John discussed his recent health scares.<\/a><\/p>\n \u201cTo be honest with you, there\u2019s not much of me left,\u201d he said. \u201cI don\u2019t have tonsils, adenoids or an appendix. I don\u2019t have a prostate. I don\u2019t have a right hip or a left knee or a right knee. In fact, the only thing left to me is my left hip.\u201d<\/p>\n Despite having multiple operations, John said he\u2019s \u201cstill here,\u201d noting, \u201cAnd I can\u2019t thank you [enough], you\u2019re the people that made me.\u201d<\/p>\n Earlier this year, John skipped the 2024 Emmy Awards \u2014 where he earned EGOT status<\/a> \u2014 after undergoing surgery.
