Influencer Allison Kuch<\/strong><\/a> and her husband, NFL free agent Isaac Rochell<\/strong>, have a lot to look forward to this holiday season with their daughter, Scottie.<\/p>\n

\u201cI feel like the holidays will be even more special, and I love the holidays to begin with,\u201d Kuch, 29, gushed while speaking with Us Weekly<\/em> exclusively at the Finish Holiday Dinner in New York City, where the couple debuted their Mac & Cheese x Corn Bread mashup recipe. \u201cI think that what we want to share with her, even growing up she might not comprehend it now \u2026 but I think showing her throughout her childhood, like, anybody is welcome at our house during the holidays, friends or family, [it\u2019s an] open door policy. So, I\u2019m excited about that.\u201d<\/p>\n

Rochell, 29, added that nothing \u201cbrings people together\u201d quite like a baby, telling Us<\/em>, \u201cI think for her, seeing family present is huge.\u201d<\/p>\n

The pair, who have been married since 2021, welcomed Scottie<\/a> in December 2023. One month before becoming parents, the couple faced an unexpected roadblock when Rochell was released from the Las Vegas Raiders. His free agency, however, has come with a silver lining.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s like, what\u2019s the worst case scenario of me not being signed? Being home with my daughter,\u201d he explained, telling Us<\/em> he\u2019s \u201csuper thankful\u201d for the extra time he\u2019s been able to spend with Scottie. \u201cFor instance, training camp, I would\u2019ve been gone for six weeks straight. I would not have spent really any time [with her], because I would\u2019ve gotten signed somewhere random, so it really would\u2019ve been just a lot of time away from her.\u201d<\/p>\n

He continued, \u201cEspecially as she gets older, like, she keeps getting bigger and bigger, and I\u2019m just like, \u2018Man, I\u2019m so thankful we got to spend so much time with her.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

Kuch agreed, teasing that she \u201cnever thought\u201d gratitude would be one of the emotions she felt after her husband lost his job. \u201cI truly, really cherished all the time that we got,\u201d she told Us<\/em>. \u201cShe\u2019s learning something new every day.\u201d<\/p>\n

Rochell was drafted by the Los Angeles Chargers in 2017 and remained on the team<\/a> for three years before moving to the Indianapolis Colts. He briefly played with the Cleveland Browns in 2022, signing with the Raiders shortly after his contract with the Browns was terminated.<\/p>\n

For years, Rochell and Kuch planned their lives around football season, but the athlete\u2019s free agency shifted the schedule they were so used to following. While Kuch admitted she sometimes missed the \u201ccadence\u201d of NFL season, she\u2019s welcoming the change ahead of the holidays.<\/p>\n

\u201cOver the past seven years, we\u2019ve spent all of our holidays with Isaac\u2019s teammates who have then turned into friends and family,\u201d she said. \u201cBut now we have a different holiday anyways with our daughter, and I know all of our family is gonna want to be out for her first holidays. So it\u2019ll be different, but I think it\u2019ll be a good different.\u201d<\/p>\n

Rochell pointed out that, including his college career, it\u2019s been \u201c11 years since I\u2019ve been truly present during a holiday.\u201d He\u2019s even played on Christmas Day, which Kuch is happy won\u2019t be the case this year.<\/p>\n

\u201cThat was lonely,\u201d she said with a laugh. \u201cSo if you\u2019re not on a team, I\u2019m looking forward to not spending the holidays alone.\u201d<\/p>\n

Kuch previously opened up about the possibility of her husband retiring<\/a> from the NFL, insisting during a recent episode of her \u201cSunday Sports Club\u201d podcast that \u201cthere\u2019s really no benefit\u201d to him hanging up his cleats right now. She told Us<\/em> that navigating free agency has been \u201ca hard situation\u201d for the couple, but they\u2019re trying to make the most of their time together as a family.<\/p>\n

\u201cMaybe I get signed tomorrow, I have no clue,\u201d Rochell explained to Us<\/em>. \u201cBut assuming that I\u2019m not signed, I\u2019m looking forward to being present with people [during the holidays].\u201d<\/p>\n

Rochell might not be hitting the field himself at this point in the football season, but he and Kuch are still integrating the game into their festive traditions. \u201cWe\u2019re still a sports household,\u201d Kuch told Us<\/em>. \u201cWe both love watching football, so it\u2019ll definitely be on the TV.\u201d<\/p>\n
