If Pascal Ibgui<\/strong><\/a> was offered the role as the Golden Bachelor, he would have one big request.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey will have to lower the age,\u201d the Golden Bachelorette<\/em> star, 69, exclusively told Us Weekly<\/em> at the show\u2019s Men Tell All<\/em> episode taping. \u201cThe age [has] got to be lower. Yes, I\u2019m old, but I don\u2019t go out with a 72-year-old woman.\u201d<\/p>\n

Pascal\u2019s reasoning for wanting younger contestants on the ABC reality dating series comes from a practical standpoint. \u201cWhen you\u2019re in your 20s like Joey<\/strong> [Graziadei<\/strong>] and Kelsey<\/strong> [Anderson<\/strong>] \u2026 you don\u2019t have a pot to pee in,\u201d he explained. \u201cYou don\u2019t have a mortgage, you don\u2019t have a home, you rent, you don\u2019t have a car, you take Uber, you are in between jobs, you\u2019re trying to find an identity.\u201d<\/p>\n

Unlike Bachelor Nation<\/a>\u2019s younger stars, it can be harder for the men and women of the Golden<\/em> shows to uplift their lives for love, Pascal said. \u201cWhen you\u2019re my age, I have my business, I have my home, I have my real estate, I have my friends, I have my kids, I have my connection to my health club, to my restaurant. I\u2019m involved in a lot of charity,\u201d the Chicago resident stated. \u201cSo, for me to pack up. My stuff and move [somewhere else] is not going to happen. \u2026 I want to wake up with somebody in the morning. I want to go to bed with somebody. I want to be able to walk down the street with her and go get coffee in the morning.\u201d<\/p>\n

Luckily, Pascal pitched a potential solution to the location issue. \u201cI think the concept of The Golden Bachelor<\/em><\/a> needs to be modified and make it The Golden Bachelor of Chicago<\/em>, The Golden Bachelor of New York<\/em>, Golden Bachelor of L.A.<\/em>, Golden Bachelor of Miami<\/em>, of Dallas,\u201d he told Us<\/em>. \u201c[In] Chicago, you get 15 million people between the surrounding area and suburb. You can\u2019t tell me you can\u2019t find 25 widows or divorcees.\u201d<\/p>\n

For now, Pascal said he\u2019s \u201cnot closing the idea\u201d of stepping into Gerry Turner<\/strong>\u2019s shoes for The Golden Bachelor<\/em> season 2. \u201cI\u2019m semi-retired, so I have a lot of time. I don\u2019t have to be at work, but I want to see how much involvement there is into it,\u201d he shared, adding that he\u2019d also love to see some of his Golden Bachelorette<\/em> season 1 castmates take on the Golden Bachelor title.<\/p>\n

Pascal was one of Joan Vassos<\/strong>\u2019 suitors on The Golden Bachelorette<\/em>\u2019s season 1. He quickly cemented himself as one of her frontrunners, scoring a glitzy Las Vegas one-on-one date in episode 3 and making his way to Joan\u2019s final three men with Chock Chapple<\/strong> and Guy Gansert<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Following his fantasy suite date in episode 7 on October 30, which involved participating in a heartfelt Tahitian bonding ceremony, Pascal began to feel overwhelmed and realized his feelings for Joan, 61, were not as strong as her feelings for him.<\/p>\n

Pascal self-eliminated during his post-date dinner with Joan, telling her, \u201cI care very much about you and the last thing I want to do is to hurt you. And I just don\u2019t think that I could get to the place where you want me to be.\u201d The news came as a surprise to Joan, who began to question how her journey on the show will end.<\/p>\n
