For many soap opera fans, it\u2019s not their first day watching Young & the Restless & they know all too well the rivalry between The Almighty Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) & Smilin\u2019 Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman). Although their rivalry has been lather-rinse-repeat for nearly 50 years, their presence on screen in Genoa City is imperative to Y&R fans. <\/p>\n There was a recent occasion, however, that The Mustache & Smilin\u2019 Jack Abbott were on the same page. Both men pooled their resources including their security teams to track down their mutual grandson, great-grandson in the case of Victor after little Harrison (Redding Munsell) was kidnapped from the Abbott Estate by Aunt Jordan (Colleen Zenk). They even bellied up to the bar at Victor\u2019s daughter\/Jack\u2019s niece Abby Newman\u2019s (Melissa Ordway) restaurant to enjoy premium spirits. Victor picked the spirit & made Jack pay, but otherwise the meeting was pleasant as they shared efforts to save Harrison.<\/p>\n Now The Mustache & Smilin\u2019 Jack are back to business as usual. Victor Newman has his pawns in place to outsmart Jack Abbott & Jack Abbott is trying to beat Victor at his own game. If only Y&R fans could look forward to more office chairs being thrown out of office tower windows by \u201cScreamin\u2019 Jack Abbott\u201d Young & the Restless\u2026<\/p>\n Victor Newman coined Billy Abbott\u2019s (Jason Thompson) nickname many years ago & it has stuck like glue. The Mustache calls Billy Abbott Billy Boy Abbott & Young & the Restless fans can\u2019t help but snicker. Victor is so condescending to Billy Boy it\u2019s somehow funny at times. He\u2019s not funny all of the time, but sometimes for sure.<\/p>\n Sure, Billy Boy has quite the track record & a closet full of skeletons, but has Victor Newman ever done a self-evaluation of his track record & the stack of skeletons in his closet? Victor Newman wins that contest yet again & Billy Boy has to feel the pain. It\u2019s like Victor Newman gets bored playing Chess at The Ranch, tries to play Chess in real life with Genoa City residents as his real-life Chess pieces, & if he gets bored there it\u2019s time to torment Billy Boy Abbott with or without reason.<\/p>\n News to the Young & the Restless writers\u2026 Young & the Restless are more than ready for Billy Boy to win one. It\u2019s time.<\/p>\n Despite all of The Almighty Victor Newman\u2019s dirty deeds in & outside of the Newman family, Young & the Restless fans remain fans. Sure, there are Y&R fans who have taken a Mustache pause here & there throughout the years, but they always come back to who should be the mayor of Genoa City.<\/p>\n So, Young & the Restless fans, is there anything that The Mustache could do that he hasn\u2019t done already that would turn you off from your loyal Victor Newman fandom?
