Kristen Bell<\/strong><\/a> is ending the year by lending a helpful hand to people in need.<\/p>\n

The actress, 44, recently teamed up with social media personality Tommy Marcus<\/strong>, better known as Quentin Quarantino, to donate thousands of dollars to people struggling to pay their medical bills. In DM screenshots shared by Marcus via Instagram<\/a> on Monday, December 30, Marcus reached out to Bell about helping him raise funds for one health-related GoFundMe page per day.<\/p>\n

Bell was game for the idea and subsequently fulfilled the remainder of one GoFundMe page\u2019s fundraising goal. \u201cWe need to do more things like this, the world needs it \ud83d\udc95,\u201d she wrote in one DM.<\/p>\n

In another message, Bell asked, \u201cHow can I give 100,000 to people who need it for medical bills? I want to make sure we do it in the best way how do we do it??\u201d<\/p>\n

Marcus responded by suggesting that for every fundraiser he posts on his page, Bell can \u201cclose it out\u201d once it reaches its halfway goal. \u201cFor example, the next one needs around $50k raised, so once it hits $25k from followers, you donate $25k and we move on to the next one?\u201d he asked.<\/p>\n

An excited Bell replied, \u201cYES!! TOMMY LETS DO IT!\u201d<\/p>\n

According to one GoFundMe page<\/a> shared on Marcus\u2019 profile, Bell donated $20,932 to help a third grader named Mia fight leukemia, helping the fundraiser surpass its $50,000 goal. Bell helped another page<\/a> reach its fundraising target, donating $24,182 to a man named Murilo also battling leukemia.<\/p>\n

Thanks to Bell\u2019s help, Marcus said his page\u2019s most recent fundraising campaign \u201chas the chance to be some of the most important and impactful work we\u2019ve ever done.\u201d He wrote in the Instagram post\u2019s caption: \u201cThe more you can donate, share, like, comment, do anything you can to make this into a movement \u2014 the better chance it has to become a huge thing, have other generous high-profile people like Kristen get involved, and overall, be a movement that we create to save and change so many lives.\u201d<\/p>\n

Marcus continued to gush about Bell in a Monday Instagram Story, writing, \u201cThank you @kristenanniebell for listening to my idea, deciding to be the catalyst to help these [people] get to where they need to be, and for helping us start this movement.\u201d<\/p>\n
