Hey There!<\/span><\/p>\n I’m thrilled to announce the launch of our brand-new series, The Truth Train<\/strong>, on The Alita Reynolds Show. This series is all about understanding how to make decisions powered by the truth—the inerrant, living word of God—while letting our feelings take a backseat.<\/span><\/p>\n In our latest episode, we dive deep into the concept of the Truth Train. Here’s a quick overview of what you can expect:<\/span><\/p>\n The Engine<\/strong>: The truth, the facts, and the living word of God that powers our decisions.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n The Center Cart<\/strong>: The fuel, which we’ll discuss in future episodes.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n The Caboose<\/strong>: Our feelings, which follow but do not lead.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n We explore how to ensure that our feelings don’t derail us from living a life aligned with God’s will. As disciples of Christ, we are called to seek wisdom and discernment in all our choices, big and small.<\/span><\/p>\n James 1:5<\/strong>: “If you need wisdom, ask our generous God, and he will give it to you.”<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n John 14:6<\/strong>: “Jesus said, ‘I am the way, the truth, and the life.'”<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n Proverbs 3:5-6<\/strong>: “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding.”<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n Jeremiah 17:9<\/strong>: “The heart is deceitful above all things and desperately sick. Who can understand it?”<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n Proverbs 29:11<\/strong>: “A fool vents all his feelings, but a wise man holds them back.”<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n Isaiah 26:3<\/strong>: “You will keep in perfect peace all who trust in you, all whose thoughts are fixed on you.”<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n I shared some personal examples of how I’ve allowed my feelings to dictate my decisions and how I’ve learned to align my choices with God’s will. Whether it’s saying yes to activities that seem fun or responding out of hurt feelings during conflict, we all have areas where we can grow.<\/span><\/p>\n Feelings are like colors<\/strong>: They’re not right or wrong, but they shouldn’t be obeyed.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n Self-Control<\/strong>: A fruit of the Spirit that helps us live out what the Bible says.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n Vent to God<\/strong>: Instead of venting to others, take your feelings to your Heavenly Father.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n I would love to hear how this episode resonates with you.
