Love Is Blind<\/a> <\/i>exes Sara Carton<\/strong> and Ben Mezzenga<\/strong>\u2019s breakup saga is getting messier and messier.<\/p>\n Days after Ben, 28, released receipts of the former couple\u2019s final text messages, Sara, 29, clarified her side of the conversation.<\/p>\n \u201cWe didn\u2019t talk for a month and a half after this [exchange], and throughout that time, I was hearing multiple things about Ben \u2026 and it just purely made me question his intentions and if he truly loved me or it was all for show,\u201d Sara claimed in a Saturday, March 15, TikTok<\/a> video. \u201cThe next time I heard from him was when he reached out telling me about the advice that he received to be on good terms with me and practice reunion questions.\u201d<\/p>\n She added, \u201cThat just completely validated my thoughts. It is clear that Ben and I were incompatible<\/a> and I realized that I was giving him the benefit of the doubt a lot and I was willing to listen, I was ignoring the negatives and focusing just on the positive.\u201d<\/p>\n According to Sara, she has also since learned \u201cabout how I love\u201d and plans to take that knowledge into her next relationship<\/a>.<\/p>\n \u201cWatching back I feel bad for the Sara in the experiment, because she wanted to stand on her values and she didn\u2019t,\u201d the Netflix star mused. \u201cShe had concerns that she wanted to address and didn\u2019t. She also, just ultimately, was protecting her partner more so than herself.\u201d<\/p>\n Sara and Ben connected inside the Love Is Blind <\/i>pods<\/a> when season 8 arrived in Minneapolis, which began airing on Netflix last month. After getting engaged sight unseen, the pair\u2019s romance was tested over their differing values. Sara ultimately called off their wedding plans at the altar when their differences outweighed any positives or feelings of love.<\/p>\n During the March 9 reunion, Sara also confirmed that she and Ben tried to date after the show wrapped<\/a> production in spring 2024. Sara claimed that Ben was even planning to join her for the remainder of her travel nursing contract in Nashville \u2014 until he ghosted her the day before she drove down from Minnesota to Tennessee. He denied the accusations.<\/p>\n \u201cI reached out to [Sara and she] ghosted me,\u201d he claimed in a Wednesday, March 12, social media video<\/a>. \u201cI reached out the Saturday that she moved to Nashville when I took her off \u2018Find My Friends\u2019 [and] apologizing for doing that, as well as the next day because I knew she was still upset.\u201d<\/p>\n In Ben\u2019s screenshots, he alleged that Sara had stopped responding to his multiple attempts to apologize.
