Among many Catholics, to say what the<br \/>\nChurch has always taught\u2014that Jesus Christ is the one way to<br \/>\nsalvation\u2014is considered offensive, or at best, rash. In certain<br \/>\ncountries, the bishops\u2019 conferences have practically made a policy<br \/>\nagainst seeking converts from other religions (or lack thereof).<br \/>\nCatholics, ruled by fear of human respect and compromised by their<br \/>\nown private sins, are finding more and more reasons not to proclaim<br \/>\nChrist\u2019s moral teachings as well.<\/p>\n<p>Ralph Martin, whose new book <em>A Church in Crisis: Pathways<br \/>\nForward<\/em> is a comprehensive spiritual diagnosis of our present<br \/>\nsituation, joins the show to discuss the many factors contributing<br \/>\nto religious indifferentism.
