In fact, if we want to be successful in God\u2019s eyes, hurry can\u2019t be part of the equation.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We live in a world that praises busyness and treats it like a badge of honor. But Jesus invites us\u00a0 to be successful in our Heavenly Father\u2019s eyes through a life of faithfulness, righteousness, and obedience. And those qualities don\u2019t rush. They walk. They pause. They breathe. You can detox from hurry, just like I had to. I&#8217;ve lived it. But even in those chaotic seasons, I\u2019ve discovered we can find ways to slow down and experience deeper intimacy with Jesus. It starts with questions like: \u201cWhy am I rushing? What am I rushing to? Do I even want to be where I\u2019m hurrying to go? \u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Like I did, you might find that the joy isn\u2019t in getting somewhere faster\u2014it\u2019s in being present where you are, even while making dinner or hosting family.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Recently, while preparing for my son Rees\u2019s birthday celebration, I was baking cookies and worshiping with joy as I stirred the ingredients and set the timer on the oven. I was reminded that peace doesn\u2019t come from perfection or performance. It comes from presence. God\u2019s presence. <br \/><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">So, have you placed expectations\u00a0 on yourself that no one else has even asked of you? What can you release today that will free you from hurry?<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">You can be a life leader\u2014someone who models peace, presence, and patience.
