Hannah Brown<\/strong><\/a> may have opened up her life to the public eye on reality TV, but she\u2019s also been suffering from her own private health battles.<\/p>\n

\u201cI still haven\u2019t quite gotten to this because I\u2019m not at a place where I\u2019m ready to have children and I didn\u2019t want to have another thing to add stress, but like, I have a double uterus and I had never been told that until this,\u201d Brown, 30, said on the Tuesday, May 6, episode of Maria Menounos<\/strong>\u2019 \u201cHeal Squad\u201d<\/a> podcast while discussing her diagnosis with polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS).<\/a><\/p>\n

Brown explained that she has yet to undergo the \u201cexploratory surgery\u201d to figure out more about her double uterus diagnosis.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere\u2019s some risk in whatever may be there when I\u2019m ready to have children. It looks like they\u2019re attached in some way, it\u2019s just, like, almost split,\u201d she said. \u201cShe\u2019s going to have to figure out, \u2018Is one bigger than the other? Can it, like, hold a baby? Which one is better?\u2019 It\u2019s a whole thing. There\u2019s been so much going on. I was like, \u2018I need to put that on a shelf. I don\u2019t need to be stressing about that right now.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

While recalling her conversation with a doctor a few years ago, Brown said she was told she didn\u2019t \u201cneed to take too extreme of precautions\u201d if she was planning to have kids \u201csomewhat soon.\u201d Brown noted that her doctor advised her to have things \u201cplanned out,\u201d including freezing her eggs, by age 30.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m like, \u2018OK, I\u2019m getting married this year. I will get right on that right after,\u2019\u201d she said. \u201cIt can definitely complicate things because can the size of the uterus hold a baby? Is one better than the other? But there have been cases of people having double uteruses and having babies and being perfectly fine. But it was definitely a shock.\u201d<\/p>\n

Brown noted that PCOS makes people have \u201cmore likeliness to have infertility troubles<\/a>,\u201d adding that a double uterus is \u201cnot a good thing to have\u201d \u2014 but she\u2019s empowered by the knowledge.<\/p>\n
