Todd Chrisley<\/strong><\/a> broke his silence about being released from prison following a presidential pardon<\/a> from Donald Trump<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

\u201cI want to thank first and foremost my lord and savior because that\u2019s who got me through it,\u201d Todd, 55, said at a press conference on Friday, May 30, before addressing his daughter Savannah Chrisley<\/strong>. \u201cShe has fought a long fight and for any parent to see their child fight this hard, it\u2019s a double edged sword. It\u2019s a blessing and then your heart breaks because your child has been placed in that position.\u201d<\/p>\n

Todd, who was at the press conference without wife Julie Chrisley<\/strong>, said he would \u201calways be grateful\u201d to Savannah<\/a>, 27, for her efforts to get them released. (Julie, 52, for her part, remained at home with the couple\u2019s 12-year-old adopted daughter, Chloe.)<\/p>\n

\u201cEven though this pardon has happened, I still was convicted of something that I did not do. It could be you. It could be any of you,\u201d Todd noted. He was later asked whether he had any remorse for his fraud case, to which he replied, \u201cI would have remorse if it was something that I did.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tTodd Chrisley has re-emerged on his daughter Savannah\u2019s social media page after his release from prison on Wednesday, May 28. Savannah, 27, documented her car ride home to Nashville with Todd, 56, after picking him up from Federal Prison Camp Pensacola in Florida. Todd and his wife, Julie, 52, received pardons from President Donald Trump [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Todd also confirmed that his family would be making their reality TV return. The \u200b\u200bChrisley Knows Best<\/em> star spoke out about the shocking reversal of fortune in their tax evasion and fraud case after President Trump granted both reality stars clemency on Wednesday, May 29, and they were released from custody later that same day.<\/p>\n

Todd and Julie were indicted on tax evasion, bank and wire fraud and conspiracy charges in 2019 and were ultimately found guilty<\/a>. Todd was sentenced to 12 years in prison while his wife was given seven years behind bars, in addition to the couple being ordered to pay $17.8 million in restitution<\/a>. The Chrisleys maintained their innocence and continued to appeal their sentences, which were previously reduced in September 2023 by nearly two years.<\/p>\n

President Trump announced during an Oval Office call with the couple\u2019s daughter Savannah\u00a0on May 27 that he planned to grant Todd and Julie a full pardon.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s a terrible thing but it\u2019s a great thing, because your parents are going to be free and clean,\u201d Trump said in a clip shared via X. \u201cI hope we can do it by tomorrow. I don\u2019t know them, but give them my regards. [I] wish them a good life.\u201d<\/p>\n

Savannah reacted to the announcement by publicly thanking Trump and his pardon czar Alice Marie Johnson<\/strong> for supporting her two-year effort<\/a> to free her parents. (Trump named Johnson as the nation\u2019s first pardon czar when he took office in January 2025. He\u2019d previously pardoned Johnson<\/a> for a first-time, nonviolent drug offense in 2018 due in part to lobbying from Kim Kardashian<\/strong><\/a>.)<\/p>\n

\u201cFor the past two and a half years, I\u2019ve done everything in my power to fight for my parents\u2019 freedom and bring them home,\u201d Savannah, 27, told Us Weekl<\/em>y. \u201cThis moment is the answer to countless prayers, and I am beyond grateful to President Trump for seeing the truth and restoring my family.\u201d<\/p>\n

She added, \u201cI also want to thank Alice Marie Johnson for her unwavering support and our attorney, Alex Little<\/strong>, for being an essential part of this process. Today is a victory for our family, but the fight against wrongful convictions and injustice within our prison system is far from over.\u201d<\/p>\n

I just found out a little bit ago and I still just can\u2019t believe it,\u201d Kyle, 33, told E! News in a Tuesday, May 27, statement. Kyle, Todd\u2019s son from [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

A tearful Savannah<\/a> was on hand when her father Todd was released<\/a> from the Federal Prison Camp in Pensacola, Florida on May 28, while Julie was freed from Federal Medical Center in Lexington, Kentucky later that day.<\/p>\n

\u201cTodd has been released from prison and is on his way home to Nashville,\u201d a family spokesperson told Us<\/em> shortly after the reality star\u2019s release.<\/p>\n
