On June 2, 2025, a report from Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner revealed that Guerrero\u2019s cause of death was severe pneumonia, per People<\/em><\/a>. The report noted that he had contracted a lung infection and Cryptococcosis neoformans: a fungal species. Moreover, the report listed that Guerrero\u2019s secondary cause was Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome, which according to Mayo Clinic, is a chronic condition and could lead to a weakened immune system.<\/p>\n

The manner of Guerrero\u2019s death was listed as natural.<\/p>\n

In a February 25, 2025, interview with <\/span>Us Weekly<\/span><\/a><\/em>, Guerrero\u2019s sister, Gris Guerrero<\/strong>, provided an update on his passing.\u00a0<\/span>\u201cWe have been able to track every one of his steps, but we don\u2019t know what got him sick or what was [the] sickness,\u201d she told the outlet. \u201cIt all happened suddenly and no one knows why. \u2026 [There are] unanswered questions and it may take some time to properly have something for him. We are getting some help, but it is a waiting game for everyone to do what they can to get answers.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n
