A jewel of the \u201cCoral Triangle<\/a>\u201d just got a reprieve.<\/p>\n The government of Indonesia announced this week that it had revoked the mining permits of four companies operating in Raja Ampat \u2014 an island chain in the country\u2019s eastern province of West Papua, and one of the most biodiverse marine ecosystems Facing public pressure, the government cited violations of environmental regulations for the move.
