Participants can show up anywhere along the route between 9am-4pm. It transforms city streets into a car-free celebration of community, connection, and possibility.   Places where participants can slow down, connect, and appreciate the city in a new way.\u00a0  Places for walking, running, rolling, spectating, and enjoying the moment.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>As a nonprofit organization,\u00a0<strong><em>CicLAvia<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0relies on the public\u2019s support to continue bringing opportunities for meaningful community connections, mindful exploration, and greater understanding across Los Angeles.<\/p>\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-en-route\">En Route<\/h5>\n<p><strong><em>CicLAvia\u2014Culver City meets Venice<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0includes four (4)\u00a0hubs filled with plenty of activities and programs along the route.\u00a0 Hubs are walking zones (mandatory dismounts) and meeting points along the route.  The route includes the\u00a0<strong>Arts District Hub<\/strong>\u00a0located\u00a0onWashington Blvd, west of McManus.  Also,\u00a0<strong>Downtown Culver City Hub<\/strong> located\u00a0on Culver Blvd near the Culver Hotel.  The\u00a0<strong>Mar Vista Hub<\/strong> is located\u00a0on Venice Blvd west of Beethoven.  And the\u00a0<strong>Venice Beach Hub<\/strong>\u00a0located<strong>\u00a0<\/strong>along Windward Circle.\u00a0 Hubs offer family-friendly activities, restrooms, free water refilling stations, free basic bike repair, bike parking.  There will be places to sit and meet up with friends and family, and first aid.  Free pedicab rides are available at each hub\u2019s information booth. In addition to the four hubs, there will be a\u00a0<strong>Pit Stop<\/strong>\u00a0on Washington Place, east of McLaughlin Ave.  There you will also find water, restrooms, and basic bike repair available.<\/p>\n<p>Culver City is a hub for entertainment companies and often referred to as the \u201cHeart of Screenland\u201d.  This is due to its history as a major film and television production center.  Culver City now offers a buzzing dining and nightlife scene.   Enjoy globally inspired eateries, gastropubs and cozy cocktail bars as well as art galleries, playhouses and the storied Culver Hotel.<\/p>\n<p>Mar Vista is a residential neighborhood in West LA, known for its walkability, family-friendly atmosphere, and proximity to amenities. It\u2019s a diverse community which was designated as an official city neighborhood in 2006.<\/p>\n<p>Venice, known for its bohemian vibe, is a buzzing beach community.  Enjoy its free-spirited Venice Boardwalk with funky shops, street performers and colorful murals.   Venice  is home to Muscle Beach, the picturesque Venice Canals and Abbot Kinney Boulevard.  Venice also features foodie hot spots, stylish boutiques and coffee bars.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The\u00a0<strong><em>CicLAvia\u2014Culver City meets Venice<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0route is accessible via many different forms of transportation. There is not one place to start or finish. <\/p>\n<h6 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-please-note-if-you-are-biking-to-and-from-nbsp-ciclavia-along-any-streets-that-are-open-to-cars-it-is-at-the-discretion-of-the-individual-nbsp\"><strong>Please note<\/strong>:<strong> if you are biking to and from\u00a0<em>CicLAvia<\/em> along any streets that are open to cars, it is at the discretion of the individual.\u00a0<\/strong><\/h6>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019re excited to continue our partnership with Culver City, as CicLAvia travels through Downtown Culver to Venice Beach,\u201d says CicLAvia Executive Director Romel Pascual. \u201cYou will see and experience, in both Culver City and on Venice Blvd, the bike and pedestrian safety measures that have transformed the area in recent years.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Inspired by Bogot\u00e1\u2019s weekly ciclov\u00eda,\u00a0<em>CicLAvia<\/em>\u00a0has been temporarily closing streets to car traffic and opening them as public parks in Los Angeles since 2010.\u00a0<em>CicLAvia<\/em>\u00a0car-free streets connect all of us to the neighborhoods where we live, work, shop, learn, and play. Active participants at\u00a0<em>CicLAvia<\/em>\u00a0use people-powered mobility to navigate public streets in a safe and joyful way. Along the way there is shopping at local businesses, access to cultural and architectural gems, using open streets as spaces to connect with each other, and making a positive impact on the environment by creating a more sustainable and climate resilient city and region. Environmental health and air quality improvement, access to safe and open parks, physical and mental well-being.\u00a0 <em>CicLAvia<\/em>\u00a0has captured the imagination.
