It\u2019s not reinventing the wheel by any means, but it\u2019s a fun time seeped in melodrama and laughably overwrought aesthetics. Still, the cinematography is genuinely gorgeous and, as ever, Adams gives it her all. The pair go on a road trip together so that Chris can profess his love to his high school crush, while Bud\u2019s criminal sister, Trina (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?sa=t&amp;source=web&amp;rct=j&amp;opi=89978449&amp;url=https:\/\/www.usmagazine.com\/celebrities\/tiffany-haddish\/&amp;ved=2ahUKEwid-oX3uYaQAxWREWIAHVLmGoUQFnoECCMQAQ&amp;usg=AOvVaw12czLVYnyLzugw5UuCMU-P\"><strong>Tiffany Haddish<\/strong><\/a>), chases after them to get back her car that they stole to drive to New York City. In\u00a0<em>I\u2019m Thinking of Ending Things,<b> <\/b><\/em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?sa=t&amp;source=web&amp;rct=j&amp;opi=89978449&amp;url=https:\/\/www.usmagazine.com\/celebrities\/jesse-plemons\/&amp;ved=2ahUKEwi19JfduYaQAxX5EmIAHXnBFzgQFnoECAUQAQ&amp;usg=AOvVaw0Yf_02_C2Budq7CatOdRNc\"><b>Jesse Plemons <\/b><\/a>and <strong>Jessie Buckley<\/strong> star as a boyfriend and girlfriend who go on a trip to visit the boyfriend\u2019s parents. However, things are not all that they seem, and in very dark and disturbing ways, and the girlfriend begins to have misgivings about her relationship.<\/p>\n<p>Beautifully acted, shot and written,\u00a0<em>I\u2019m Thinking of Ending Things<\/em> is not only a fitting adaptation of the source material but a fantastic film all on its own. Kaufman is a master of layered psychological drama, and the melding of family and relationship dynamics with horror that\u2019s given a surrealist bent is totally seamless.
