The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives <\/i>star Mayci Neeley<\/strong><\/a> quickly learned how to best discuss the birds and the bees<\/a> with her 10-year-old son, Hudson.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe just found out what sex is, like, he\u2019s at that age,\u201d Mayci, 30, said on the Sunday, October 12, episode<\/a> of the \u201cSunday Sports Club\u201d podcast. \u201cWe had to give him the talk, and I\u2019m like, \u2018You are not reading [my] book [until you\u2019re 18].\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

Mayci found out she was pregnant with Hudson at just 19 years old, shortly before her ex-boyfriend and Hudson\u2019s birth father, Arik Mack<\/strong>, died in a car accident. Mayci later married Jacob Neeley<\/strong>, who eventually adopted Hudson. (Mayci and Jacob also share two daughters.<\/a>)<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen we gave him the sex talk, the thing that he was so upset about was that, \u2018I came from a different dad \u2018cause you had sex with someone else,\u2019\u201d the MomTok influencer recalled of Hudson\u2019s response. \u201cHe found that out, and he was so stunned. He asked my husband, \u2018Why did you marry her?\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

According to Mayci, she and Jacob, 30, only gave Hudson the \u201cbasic\u201d sex talk.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe had the basic one, where it\u2019s, like, \u2018You have sex to make a baby.\u2019 So, he realized, \u2018That\u2019s how I was made,\u2019\u201d she told podcast host Allison Kuch. \u201cThen, he was like, \u2018Dad, why did you marry her [if] she did that and had a baby.\u2019 [Kids have] no filter [and] no shame.\u201d<\/p>\n

Mayci detailed more of her story in her recently released memoir<\/a>, Told You So, <\/i>including how she navigated Arik\u2019s death amid her pregnancy.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was the hardest thing in my entire life. The grieving process was so intense,\u201d Mayci exclusively told Us Weekly <\/i><\/a>earlier in October. \u201cThere were so many things I wish I would have said, so many regrets of what I said before he passed and so many things I wish I could say or ask him about now. It\u2019s given me a lot of anxiety in my current life. If my husband doesn\u2019t respond within a certain amount of time. I\u2019m like, \u2018Did he get in a crash? Are my kids OK?\u2019 I get so freaked out.\u201d<\/p>\n
