Kim Kardashian<\/strong><\/a> went through a health scare that required surgery \u2014 and reminded her of her late father Robert Kardashian<\/strong><\/a>\u2018s death.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ve been feeling a little off lately. My throat is, like, killing me today,\u201d Kim, 46, said during the Thursday, October 29, episode of The Kardashians<\/em><\/a>.<\/p>\n

The reality star spoke with a doctor, who said, \u201cI think you have a little bit of inflammation of the esophagus, and I think you have esophagitis. I would suggest starting a medication, then come for a procedure where we could look at it and we can determine what we\u2019re dealing with and if we really need to do anything or not.\u201d<\/p>\n

In a confessional, Kim addressed her decision to keep her issues a secret.<\/a><\/p>\n

\u201cI haven\u2019t really told too many people about this just because I think it\u2019s something that really hits home for me,\u201d she explained. \u201cAnd I just don\u2019t really want to go there with my dad having passed away from esophagus cancer [at age 59 in 2003].\u201d<\/p>\n

She continued: \u201cHopefully I can just take medication and this will go away. But I just don\u2019t know what\u2019s gonna happen.\u201d<\/p>\n

The preview for the next episode of the show<\/a> confirmed Kim went under the knife due to \u201cirregularities\u201d that had to be \u201ccut out\u201d for her own safety.<\/p>\n

Kim has often used her family\u2019s Hulu series to document her health challenges. In a November 2025 episode, she shared how a complete body scan had raised some red flags about her wellness.<\/p>\n
