BLACKBRAID Streams Cover Of I’s “Warriors”

Blackbraid is now streaming their cover of I‘s 2006 track “Warriors” from the album Between Two Worlds. For those unaware, I was a short-lived black metal supergroup featuring guitarist and vocalist Abbath (Abbath, ex-Immortal), guitarist Ice Dale (Enslaved) and bassist TC King (ex-Gorgoroth, ex-God Seed), drummer Armagedda (ex-Immortal), and lyricist Demonaz (Immortal).

As far as a new Blackbraid record, it’s coming! In an update from Sgah’gahsowáh, the new record is now due out sometime in summer 2025, and has been in the works for the majority of this year. Which honestly is fine – it’s better to wait for a great record than to get a buncha just okay ones.

“At the forefront of the year, in the heart of winter when the light was at it’s lowest, I came to you with news of the forthcoming third album,” wrote Sgah’gahsowáh. “Now, many months later as autumn approaches in summers warm wake I break the silence again for another update.

“Blackbraid III is still underway and is developing beautifully. I have spent more than half the year cultivating this songs and am very pleased with the progress so far. This album has become very special to me already and has yet to be fully realized. Without giving away too much I can tell you that this album will definitely see a physical release sometime next summer in the year 2025.

“Turning out eyes to the more immediate future, our first ever headlining tour is just two months away. For 14 days we will take Europe by storm, led by the thundering hooves of our ancestral warhorses with our brethren in Lamp of Murmuur and Dodsrit at our sides.

“Europe has consistently given Blackbraid so much support since day one and we are honored to not only be able to finally give these countries a proper tour, but to do it as a headlining act. To further thank Europe for your patience I will be doing a ticket giveaway for select European dates on my Instagram in the coming weeks so keep an eye out for that as well as another fun surprise.
