Prog metal legends Voivod will team up with the Orchestre Symphonique De Montréal for two special shows this upcoming January. The shows will be conducted by Dina Gilbert and will take place at the Salle Wilfrid-Pelletie in Montreal, Quebec on January 29 and January 30, 2025.
“Experience Voivod like never before as they join forces with the Orchestre Symphonique de Montréal for two extraordinary concerts, conducted by Dina Gilbert,” wrote Voivod of the concert. “Imagine hearing iconic tracks like ‘Holographic Thinking’ and ‘Astronomy Domine’ in a full symphonic arrangement!
“This legendary Quebec band, known worldwide for redefining the boundaries of metal for over 40 years, will take the stage with the OSM in a groundbreaking collaboration. Don’t miss your chance to witness this historic event that will leave a lasting impact on the music scene!”
Voivod has been pretty busy in recent years. The band released their full-length album Synchro Anarchy in 2022, the Ultraman covers EP later that same year, and then the Morgöth Tales compilation in 2023 where they revisited old material released between 1983 and 2003.
