Experience the Fullness of Spiritual Strength

At Women of Faith, our VISION is to see a world transformed by women living victoriously in Christ.

We believe that SPIRITUAL STRENGTH is a foundational pillar in achieving this vision. One of our goals as followers of Christ is to grow spiritually, to mature in our faith, and to experience the fullness of life in Him.

In Ephesians 5:1-2, Paul encourages us to be imitators of God. Imitation is best achieved by aligning our thoughts, words, and actions with those of the one we emulate. To be like Jesus, we must immerse ourselves in the Word of God, learning from His teachings and His example.

Through Scripture, we gain insight into God’s heart and His ways. By consistently reading, studying, and applying His Word, we develop the spiritual strength needed to reflect His love and character in our lives.

Here are various translations of Ephesians 5:1-2 that shed light on what it means to imitate God. Reading these versions deepens our understanding of the passage and enriches our spiritual strength:

New Living Translation (NLT):
“Imitate God, therefore, in everything you do, because you are his dear children. Live a life filled with love, following the example of Christ. He loved us and offered himself as a sacrifice for us, a pleasing aroma to God.”

New King James Version (NKJV):
“Therefore be imitators of God as dear children. And walk in love, as Christ also has loved us and given Himself for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet-smelling aroma.”

The Message (MSG):
“Watch what God does, and then you do it, like children who learn proper behavior from their parents. Mostly what God does is love you. Keep company with him and learn a life of love. Observe how Christ loved us. His love was not cautious but extravagant. He didn’t love in order to get something from us but to give everything of himself to us. Love like that.”

Let us strive to be imitators of God in everything we do. Let us live a life of extravagant love, mirroring the example of Jesus. Together, we can walk in His light and transform the world, one act of love at a time.
