70,000 Tons Of Metal will sail on January 30th, 2025 on their 14th voyage across the Caribbean, blaring metal over the seas and featuring around 60 bands and metalheads from all over the world. To whet your appetite and remind you of the awesomeness that happens aboard the world’s biggest heavy metal cruise, they have come up with their own official theme song and music video.
The music is orchestrated by Trey Xavier – whom you might know as Gear Gods mastermind and also the guy who explained how to create a Metallica song– with Bruno Valderve (Angra, Whom Gods Destroy) manning the drums, and his Angra bandmate Rafael Bittencourt in charge of the song’s guitar solo.
Lots of talents take turns at the mic to make the 2 and half minutes track a total earworm: Francesco Cavalieri (Wind Rose), Nils Molin (Dynazty/Amaranthe), Hansi Kürsch (Blind Guardian), Meek Guaitoli (Temperance/Visions of Atlantis), Kristin Starkey (Temperance/Twilight Force), Mikael Stanne (Dark Tranquillity/The Halo Effect), Lena Scissorhands (Infected Rain), Per Nilsson (Scar Symmetry) and Ivan Giannini (Vision Divine), plus Trey Xavier himself.
Tickets are available now and you better don’t sleep on them! 2025’s 70000 Tons Of Metal features everyone from Sepultura performing their farewell at sea, to Emperor ripping out some classics, and more:
