Sludgy metalcore band Palm Reader has decided to call it quits after 13 years as a band. Palm Reader states that they’ve collectively decided to end instead of going on hiatus, and move forward with their individual lives in different directions. We wish everyone in Palm Reader all the best, and urge anyone who never checked them out to do so.

“Dear Friends,

“With a heavy heart, we have decided to end our time together as Palm Reader. We all have very different priorities now, compared to the lives we led when we formed the band in 2011. We collectively feel that ending Palm Reader now rather than simply ‘going on hiatus’ is the right thing for us to do as we grow as people and our lives move forward in different directions.

“These last 13 years have been extraordinary, and we can’t thank you enough for being on this journey with us. It has meant more to us than you’ll ever know. We will be embarking on one last run of UK dates and we hope you can make it out and give us the honour of playing for you one last time.

They added: “Tickets go on sale Friday, March 8th at 10:00 am from: wearepalmreader.com. Our final show will be on Friday, July 12th at 2000 Trees Festival – which we’ve always considered our spiritual home. We hope to see you there.”

Palm Reader‘s final shows are:

7/4 Southampton, Joiners
7/5 London, Camden Underworld
7/6 Manchester, Academy 3
7/7 Nottingham, Rescue Rooms
7/12 2000 Trees Festival
