TV host, comedian, and writer Bill Maher has launched Club Random Studios named after his own podcast Club Random started in 2022. Two additions to the newly-minted Club Random Studios are Smashing Pumpkins frontman Billy Corgan and his own Club Random podcast, as well as Limp Bizkit vocalist Fred Durst who will host a show about UFOs and conspiracy theories.
“I never knew Fred or Billy,” Maher said of Corgan and Durst to Variety. “But something good happens there, and I can feel like I’m best friends for life with somebody who I just talked to for an hour and a half. That’s the quality we want — a nighttime feel.”
Both Corgan and Durst were guests on Club Random in 2023. Durst previously narrated the 2023 UFO film The Lost Century: And How to Reclaim It by Dr. Steven Greer, and even addressed the extraterrestrial topic to a crowd in Colorado during a 2022 Limp Bizkit show.
“I hate to be a preacher, but it’s super important you do not believe all this bullshit information they’re feeding us,” said Durst as noted by Loudwire. “Everyone’s feeding us all this fear mongering bullshit, and it’s up to us to seek the truth. It’s gonna happen soon. There’s gonna be a revolution. You better believe it.”

On the expansion of Club Random into a sprawling series of podcasts, and the people he chose to invite, Maher added: “People want to hear not just a few voices, like in the old days when there were three talk shows. These are people who I would be interested in listening to.”
As for both bands, Limp Bizkit has a tour coming up this July and Smashing Pumpkins is still looking for a new guitarist.
