Drummer Greg Barton had one mission over the weekend – drum through all 128 Foo Fighters songs in a row to raise money for the Cancer Research Institute.
Not only is it impressive as hell that Barton drummed for nine hours straight, but that he also nailed every single song! And hey, if Foo Fighters ever needs someone to fill in for some live shows, Barton quite literally knows their whole catalog.
“Couldn’t be happier with how it turned out,” said Barton. “So grateful for the incredible people I got to work with to make this a reality. Not only did we smash our fundraising goal, but I made it the distance and had an absolute blast along the way. Thank you all from the bottom of my heart for making this one of the best days ever.
“This was one of the hardest things I’ve ever done. You can see my left hand completely cramp up at song 57 and I truly thought I might DNF… I think pure adrenaline carried me through the last three albums. Let me know what songs you enjoyed most, and I hope this brightens your day. We are leaving the fundraiser open for a couple more weeks as well. Enjoy!!”
Barton dedicated his lengthy performance to his grandmother Debra who is currently battling cancer, as well as the late and great Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins. Donate to Barton‘s effort right here.
