God is Creative, and So Are You!

Have you ever started your morning quiet time without opening your Bible, journal, or devotional?

Instead, you simply sit and ask, “Lord, what do you have for me?” Then, you rest in His presence and just listen.

Think of it like meeting a friend. Sometimes, they talk, and you listen; other times, you share while they listen. Sometimes, you might sit quietly for 5, 10, or even 15 minutes before speaking.

Do we ever do that with Jesus? Do we allow ourselves to hear what He has to say?

There is a blessing in the silence when we are waiting on the Lord! (Look at how Zechariah’s silence impacted him in Luke 1:20-25.)

You can ask Him a question or simply say, “Lord, what do you need me to know today?”

This practice has transformed my mornings, bringing me into God’s presence in a fresh way. You may also find it enriching to depart from your routine a bit.

It’s not about following a strict order. Try mixing it up!

God is creative, and so are you.

You will feel blessed when you embrace new ways of spending time with Him.
