Sodom‘s 1992 album Tapping The Vein is finally back in circulation, and in a very big way. Sodom has announced a deluxe reissue of Tapping The Vein featuring the original album, a remixed version done by Andy Brings with some alternate takes, and three live shows from 1992 including Sodom‘s final show with original drummer Chris Witchhunter.
“At the time it was just another album for us,” said Sodom vocalist and bassist Thomas “Angelripper” Such, “but the Sodomaniacs all over the world made it a cult classic. It’s just sad that Chris Witchhunter is not here anymore to celebrate with us.”
Sodom guitarist Andy Brings added: “Bands don’t determine what becomes a cult, the fans do. It just happened, and we are very proud of it. 18-year-olds come up to me these days and tell me how much they love that album.”
