Abby & Devon were married during the 13,000th episode of Young & the Restless. Like Victoria Newman’s last wedding dress, Abby’s latest wedding dress was designed by Sally Spectra. Well, who wore Sally Spectra better & why wasn’t she in attendance at Abby & Devon’s wedding but was at Victoria & Ashland’s on Young & the Restless?

Since When are Abby & Sally BFF in GC on Y&R?
The answer is since never & their friendship isn’t moving forward either. If Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway) & Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) had been long-time BFFs, Miss Sally would have been in attendance at her wedding. Abby did tell Sally at Society just a month before her wedding that she always loved her designs. That compliment was just enough for Sally Spectra to design Abby’s wedding gown right then & there.
On the Other Hand, Never Asked & Hugged by Victoria
Regardless of who wore Sally Spectra better, Miss Sally had way more time to design Victoria Newman’s (Amelia Heinle) wedding gown as she wasn’t invited to do so. In the style of Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver) on Young & the Restless, Sally saw an opportunity & she grabbed it, dominated it, & now she is called “That Dress Woman” by the Almighty Victor Newman (Eric Braeden).
The great Lauren Fenmore (Tracey E. Bregman) originally designed Victoria Newman’s gown. It was as boring as Abby & Devon Winters’ (Bryton James) wedding. Victoria immediately hated it & tried to hide it. Thank God for Sally to the rescue. Victoria Newman found Sally’s design in her suite in Tuscany & could not have been more stunning.

There have already been Young & the Restless fans ranting that Abby’s gown did not offer much support for her front. Well, duh, she didn’t have a back — at all. At least Victoria’s gown had full coverage in the front allowing for a creative approach for support.
Considering Saly Spectra provided an on-demand wedding gown design at Society within just one episode of Young & the Restless & of all details the high-maintenance Abby Newman was impressed, Miss Sally has earned a “well-done.”
