New Hampshire Fish and Game conservation officers rescued an unprepared hiker who got caught in bad weather in Lincoln late Thursday night, authorities said.

Fish and Game said the 39-year-old man from Rhode Island took a wrong turn and was not prepared for the snow, rain and winds.

The man tried to set up a tent but called for help after that did not work, authorities said.

The hiker will likely be billed for the nine hour rescue, Fish and Game said.

No one was hurt.
