The suspicious death of a woman in Plaistow is under investigation, the New Hampshire Attorney General’s Office said.
Investigators said around 6:15 a.m. on Sunday, Plaistow police responded to a home on Old County Road in response to a 911 call from a neighbor after a child asked them for help.
When they entered the home, they made contact with the person who called and found a woman dead and an individual, who identifies as a woman, suffering from injuries, investigators said.

The man was taken to the hospital. Authorities said they are investigating it as a possible murder and an attempted suicide by the individual who identifies as a woman who survived. Investigators earlier on Sunday identified the individual who survived as a man.
“We’re grateful that the child is is physically uninjured and is safe at this time. But we’re still going to need some time to do an investigation in this case,” said assistant attorney general Bethany Durand.
When neighbor Joe Ward woke up to run errands Sunday morning, he said he saw police cars lined up outside his house.
“I just started like rushing around. I went out, turned around, went shopping, and I came back and came back to all this,” Ward said.

Investigators said the woman is in stable condition but did not say how she is related to the victim. There does not appear to be any threat to the general public, authorities said.
